There are many archaeological sites on the island, some of which are openly accessible, some have been investigated and some are undergoing investigation. All sites come under the care of Historic Scotland.

This year (2009) we will be identifying all Westray's archaeological sites and producing a downloadable map ready for the 2010 season. This part of the web site is now under construction and will be published in stages as this year progresses into the new 2010 season.
