This is an example page added to show how the different text formatting available in the WordPress editor will look on the live page.

Headings are used to provide structure for an article. The main heading in purple handwritten font is set to Heading 1 by WordPress automatically so we should normally avoid using Heading 1 within our content and rather use Heading 2 as our own main section headers, and then Heading 3 for sub sections and Heading 4 for sub-sub sections and so on.

Heading 1 (best not to use)

Heading 2

Heading 3

Heading 4

Heading 5
Heading 6

Paragraph text is the main text of the page which is what you’re reading now. The text can be formatted as bold, italic, strikethrough, underline, superscript and subscript.

Special characters can be added to your content by clicking the omega (Ω) button in the toolbar e.g. ©, ®, ¼ etc.

You can also have bulleted lists –

  • Item 1
  • Item 2
  • Item 3
  • etc.

or, numbered lists –

  1. Item 1
  2. Item 2
  3. Item 3
  4. etc.

Other formatting options are available e.g. text alignment, indentation, colour etc. the effect of these options is fairly obvious so no examples are given here. (this is an example of a block quote)
